Kimelford is 14 miles south of Oban and offers a church, coaching inn; café, shop and post office.  There are many beautiful local walks amongst very pretty countryside from the village.

Attractions include:

• A short drive to: the Degnish peninsular; Dalavich/Kilcrennan alongside Loch Avich or along the coast road to Campbeltown and the world famous Mull of Kintyre.

• Visit Kilmartin Glen (and museum) and satisfy your curiosity of ancient monuments by looking at the numerous standing stones, cairns and burial mounds.

• Take a trip to the Crinan Canal and see the brightly coloured houses along the Canal-side rivalling those on Mull.

• Visit the numerous castles in the area.

• Walk round Arduaine Gardens and see the magnificent award winning displays of flowers and plants.  

• Visit Oban where you can enjoy: a ferry trip to the famous Islands of Mull, Iona and Tiree; the Oban Distillery and slightly further afield, the Oban Sealife Centre.

• For a longer day out try a trip to Fort William visiting Castle Stalker along the way or visit Inverary with its famous interactive Jail.
